Back when I was a 20-something year girl old navigating a new city and beauty school I had the pleasure of coloring a nice woman’s hair every three weeks. We would chat about downtown businesses and she told me that if I like ice cream, I would love Armadillos. I ventured there with my tip money that day and got a dish of black cherry ice cream and I was instantly a believer. When I saw Mel three weeks later and told her how she was correct, she revealed to me that she was pleased AND a partial owner. Armadillos is a popular local ice cream parlor with creative sundaes and various homemade food options. They have rotating flavors of the day of ice cream and sherbet. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, pups welcome on the patio!
Besides black cherry, I also love the Tyler’s Turtle which is vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, caramel, and pecans OR Lauren’s Landslide made of chocolate vanilla twist ice cream, chocolate dip, caramel, and cookie dough. They have fun food too, try an Indian taco!
